I will always defend the theater experience as something unique and incomparable with home viewing, at least in a general way. Nevertheless, I think the most comprehensible path to accommodate everyone is to give the viewer both choices, and I firmly believe that would be the new norm, sooner or later.Why this apparently unrelated prologue? Well, Palmer is exclusively premiering on Apple TV+, which is probably the most underrated streaming service out there. Both their original movies (Wolfwalkers, On the Rocks) and TV shows (Servant) have become more and more successful, and their production quality unquestionably makes dozens of studios jealous. With that in mind, I believe an indie flick with a narrative like Palmer’s would always suffer at the box-office in a standard theatrical distribution, so I’m genuinely glad Apple caught it because I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up as one of my favorite films of the year.I’ve seen Fisher Stevens before, but never in the director’s chair....

 

 

 

 

 

 'Legend' was not a very good film. It was poorly acted and written on the most part. It was predictable and just seemed like a forgettable straight-to-video gangster film. However, the only saving grace (and a really good one) was Tom Hardy.Hardy was brilliant in the main roles (playing both of the Kray twins). He made the film funny and really tense when it tried to be. The soundtrack was also really good. ★★★

 

 All the Bright Places is a film that deals with heavy topics, topics that are difficult to approach, topics such as depression and the survivor's guilt (when someone survives a terrible accident, and decides to blame himself for having survived). The approach to the subject is made with extreme care, in no way embellishing the disturbances it seeks to demonstrate, making it clear how much they harm and corrode the people who have them, and who surrounds them.The film tells the story of Violet Markey, a young woman who is tormented by the death of her sister, a young woman who finds little meaning in life and feels little. But when young Theodore Finch breaks into his life, Violet gradually begins to see the light in the middle of a sea of ​​darkness, to take away meaning and joy from the little things that, most likely, he would have ignored before. But not everything is perfect, and Theodore himself finds himself in a dark phase of his life, will they be able to save each other ...
